Mr Turner has served on our board of directors since February 2020. Mr Turner currently serves on the board of directors and is the chair of the audit committee of Miragen Therapeutics, Inc. Previously, Mr Turner served as a director and chair of the audit committee of Sophiris Bio Inc., Corcept Therapeutics, Inc., Alexza Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Kythera Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to retiring from active employment in 2006, Mr Turner served as chief financial officer at Myogen, Inc. from 1999 until it was acquired by Gilead Sciences, Inc. in 2006, and previously served as the chief financial officer at Centaur Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and chief financial officer and vice president, finance and administration at Cortech, Inc. Mr Turner has an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MA in molecular biology from the University of Colorado, and a BA in chemistry from Swarthmore College.
