Mr Peetz joined the Arcutis Board of Directors in July 2026. He is a co-founder and chief executive officer of Mirum Pharmaceuticals, where he has led the company’s growth into a global organization focused on developing therapies for rare diseases. Since founding Mirum in 2018, he has overseen the development and commercialization of multiple therapies while building a diversified portfolio and advancing the company’s global presence.
Prior to Mirum, Mr Peetz served as chief executive officer of Flashlight Therapeutics and as chief financial officer and head of corporate development at Tobira Therapeutics, which was acquired by Allergan plc. Earlier in his career, he was vice president of finance and corporate development at Jennerex Biotherapeutics and held various roles in corporate strategy, marketing, product lifecycle management, and financial planning at Onyx Pharmaceuticals (now Amgen Inc.). He also provided merger and acquisition advisory services at LaSalle Corporate Finance, a part of ABN AMRO, and held positions at Abgenix and Solazyme.
Mr Peetz currently serves as entrepreneur-in-residence at Frazier Life Sciences and previously served on the board of directors of Alpine Immune Sciences until its acquisition by Vertex Pharmaceuticals. He earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BSBA in Finance, International Business, and French from Washington University in St. Louis.
