Vice President, Associate General Counsel

Mr Souders joined Arcutis in 2022 and was promoted to vice president and associate general counsel in 2026. He leads support of products from early-stage research through global commercialization, negotiates international licensing and co promotion agreements, and advises on corporate governance and international subsidiary operations. Mr Souders has nearly two decades of legal experience spanning healthcare and life sciences, including over a decade advising biopharmaceutical companies on commercial, medical, compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, and business development matters. Prior to Arcutis, he served as general counsel of Curative Inc., overseeing all legal, healthcare compliance, and privacy functions during the company’s rapid national expansion, including managing government inquiries and audits, led M&A and restructurings, and supported the launch of a fully integrated health plan. Previously, he spent six years at Amgen as senior counsel, supporting oncology, patient access, and commercial operations, and began his career as an Assistant United States Attorney focusing on healthcare fraud and cybersecurity. Mr Souders received his juris doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law and holds Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Southern Methodist University.
