Sam Jahanmir joined Arcutis in April 2026 to lead business development. He brings more than 20 years of experience spanning biopharmaceutical business development, corporate strategy, and life sciences investing across oncology, immunology, neuroscience, and gene therapy. Prior to joining Arcutis, he was founder and chief executive officer of Clarion Therapeutics, where he identified promising drug candidates, led licensing discussions and set the business development strategy for multiple pharma and emerging biotech companies. Previously, Mr. Jahanmir held senior leadership roles at Blackstone Life Sciences portfolio companies, including head of business development at Uniquity Bio and head of commercial strategy at Neurvati, where he led identification and evaluation of pipeline opportunities, set the strategy for indication expansion opportunities,, and worked closely with boards and executive teams on financing and exit planning. Mr. Jahanmir earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
